CLP Power is committed to promoting energy-saving and low-carbon living through various public education initiatives, fostering sustainable habits among the younger generation. We believe that green education should start from an early age, enabling children to understand the importance of environmental protection and take action in their daily lives.

This year, CLP Power is collaborating with The Green Earth and Metro Broadcast to launch the CLP Climate Ambassadors Programme 2025, encouraging students to share their views and learning on environmental issues in creative and engaging way. Through workshops and competition, students will not only deepen their understanding of environmental knowledge and climate change impacts, but also become young green pioneers , using their voices to inspire more people.

Schools participating in the CLP Climate Ambassadors Podcast Competition will have the opportunity to attend green talks delivered by The Green Earth and professional broadcasting workshop organised by Metro Broadcast. Winning podcasts of the competition will be broadcast on Metro Info.
Podcast Competition Objectives
  • Enhance students’ awareness of climate change, power quality, and low-carbon living and encourage students to share their views on environmental issues through creative podcast broadcasting.
  • Develop students’ communication and analytical skills regarding environmental topics.
  • Provide a platform for students to share innovative ideas to tackle climate change and inspire sustainable campus initiatives.
Remarks
  • The competition regulations may be modified at any time without prior notice. The latest version of the competition rules shall prevail. The regulations have been translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and Chinese version, the Chinese version shall prevail. Submission of entries in accordance with the competition instructions signifies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, amend, or add any rules, as well as adjust the number of competition categories and awards. The judges’ interpretation of the rules shall be final.

Programme Terms & Conditions
  • CLP Climate Ambassadors Programme 2025 (The Programme) is hosted by CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (The Organiser), in partnership with The Green Earth and Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited (Programme Partners). By registering for the Programme, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions, including any future modifications.
  • As part of The Programme, the competition is only open to primary schools within the electricity supply area of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (covering Kowloon, the New Territories, and most outlying islands). Each team must consist of 2 to 5 students from Primary 3 to Primary 6 in the 2025/2026 academic year and must be registered under the school’s name. Each student can only join one team and participate once. Each school can nominate up to 5 teams, and each team can submit only one entry. Teams must select one theme to compete in. Different teams from the same school may choose different themes.
  • Entries must be 3 to 5 minutes long, submitted 1) final podcast audio (MP3 file) by Google Drive link and 2) a recording video with a YouTube link. All content must be original and not plagiarized.
  • The supervising teacher (Applicant) must complete registration before the recruitment deadline using the designated online application form. Registration opens on June 2, 2025, and closes on September 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM. The timestamp from the registration system will be used as the official submission time. All submissions are final and cannot be modified. Late submissions will not be accepted. The Organiser and Programme Partners are not responsible for any delays, data losses, errors, or system failures caused by computer or network issues.
  • The Applicant must provide accurate school details, contact number, email address, and participants’ full names (matching their identity documents). Each participant can only register once, and duplicate entries will not be accepted.
  • If an application is accepted, the supervising teacher will receive a confirmation email within 3 working days, including instructions for submitting entry materials and details about submission process. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the provided contact email address is accurate. All information regarding this programme will be communicated solely via email. No separate notification will be sent for unsuccessful applications.
  • Providing personal data is voluntary, but if a participant refuses to submit the required information, The Organiser and Programme Partners may reject their entry.
  • The Organiser and Programme Partners have the right to verify participants’ identities. Each participant warrants and represents that all provided personal information is accurate and truthful. Participants agree to the use of their personal information by The Organiser and Programme Partners for programme purposes, which will be in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The Organiser and Programme Partners may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, government requests, or in good faith to protect their rights.
  • The Applicant must ensure that all submitted information is accurate and valid. The submitted Hong Kong telephone number and email address must be current and operational at all times. Any incorrect or false information may result in disqualification, without further notice. If any provision of false information causes any damage or loss to The Organiser, Programme Partners or any third party, the Applicant assumes full legal responsibility. The Organiser and Programme Partners shall not be responsible for any inaccuracy of the information submitted.
  • Participants found to be violating rules or engaging in fraudulent competition tactics may have their entries disqualified without prior notice. No objection shall be raised to the disqualification.
  • The Applicant and participants must comply with all competition rules set by The Organiser and Programme Partners. Participants guarantee the authenticity of their information and must not use or submit any third-party’s personal data unlawfully. If external plugins, dishonest methods, fake accounts, or repeated registrations are used to manipulate the competition, The Organiser and Programme Partners reserve the right to disqualify the participant(s) without notice.
  • Entries will be evaluated by the judges, and participants cannot dispute the results.
  • The Organiser and Programme Partners reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate any aspect of the competition at their discretion, without prior notice.
  • The Organiser and Programme Partners have the final decision on all competition results, and their judgment is not subject to dispute.
  • These terms and conditions are legally binding and governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. By entering The Programme, participants confirm they understand and accept these terms.
Entry Submission Terms & Conditions
  • Entry submission opens on June 2, 2025, and closes on November 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM. The official timestamp from the submission system will be used. Late submissions will not be accepted. The Organiser and Programme Partners are not responsible for any delays, data losses, errors, or technical failures related to submission.
  • After submitting the entry, if it is accepted, the Applicant will receive a confirmation email within 3 working days. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that the provided contact email address is accurate. All information regarding this programme will be communicated solely via email. No separate notification will be sent for entries that are not accepted.
  • Entries must be original and independently created by participants. They must not infringe on any copyrights, intellectual property rights, or the rights of individuals or organizations (including music, sound effects, and background tracks). Entries must not have been published, publicly exhibited, or previously awarded in Hong Kong or elsewhere. The Organiser and Programme Partners reserve the absolute right to disqualify entries if infringement is suspected. Participants shall bear full legal responsibility for any intellectual property infringement and shall indemnify The Organiser and Programme Partners for any damages or losses incurred by them due to the intellectual property infringement.
  • If The Organiser and Programme Partners have reasonable suspicion that an entry infringes copyright or intellectual property rights, they reserve the right to disqualify the participant. Decisions are final and cannot be disputed.
  • Entries must not contain inappropriate language, offensive content, or any material deemed unsuitable. The Organiser and Programme Partners reserve the right to reject or disqualify submissions that violate these standards.
  • By participating, entrants agree to transfer all copyrights and intellectual property rights of their entries and creative concepts to The Organiser, free of charge. The Organiser will own all rights to the submitted works and may use them at their discretion.

  • Personal data collected (school information, supervising teacher’s name, contact details, and names of participating students) will only be used for programme-related communication. The Organiser and Programme Partners  will securely store and delete all personal data within two months after the Programme. It will not be used for direct marketing.
  • Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited may engage a third-party service provider to assist in processing data, but the third party will not store or use personal information.
